‘Green’ is in season at St. Peter Parish
JUPITER | This is the time
of year when parishes put away the green of ordinary time
and pull out the purple, rose and white for Advent and Christmas.
But at St. Peter Parish here, Pastor Donald Finney and his
flock have gone green from garden to sanctuary, and plan
to stay that way.
“They have done some good
work,” said Father Finney about Nathalie McCrate and Lillian
McBee, the two youngsters behind efforts to “green” St.

Twenty-seven
teenagers from Holy Name of Jesus and St. Peter parishes
are heading to the Tampa Bay area on a mission trip to
help needy migrant families.

Students starting a new school year are often greeted with
the familiar question: How did you spend your summer
vacation?
When the 2009-2010 sessions get under
way in late summer, teenagers from Holy Name of Jesus and
St. Peter parishes won’t be talking only about lying on
the beach or taking family trips to exotic locations.
“We’re going to be working on
renovations for people who need help with their homes,”
