LIFETEEN - High School Youth Ministry

The LIFE TEEN Youth Ministry is a comprehensive youth ministry with a strong focus on the Eucharist.

Starting with a weekly LIFE TEEN Mass, high school teens are placed in an environment that presents the Mass to them with vitality and in such a manner that it is inviting, joyful, and prayerful.

The congregation gathers at 5:00pm to greet one another.  This is an important aspect of the LIFE TEEN Mass.  At 5:30pm Mass begins. The liturgical model is to GATHER (welcome), PROCLAIM (the message of the gospel), BREAK (share), and SEND (make the message a reality by offering concrete ways to live it out in today’s world).

Music plays a vital role in enhancing the powerful and prayerful mode of this liturgy, since music is such an integral part of a teen’s life.

It is the belief of the LIFE TEEN ministry that a teen’s journey into a relationship with Jesus Christ is transformed into one that is personal and real.  Teens will have an integral part in the planning and participating in the liturgy.  However, the whole parish community is encouraged to come together with the young people for the sole purpose of giving thanks and praise to God.

All high school age teens are invited to gather to share dinner in the parish hall at 6:30pm.  Immediately following dinner, teens are invited to the LIFE Night which is a combination of education/socials.  These include scripture, doctrine, issue nights and social functions.  Registration for LIFE TEEN is not required because teens come because they want to come.  If that sounds interesting-even amazing-teens please join us!
