Bereavement Ministry

Purpose: To extend the condolences and support of the entire parish family to those who have experienced the death of a loved one. Members take turns attending the Wake or Vigil at local funeral homes and the Funeral Mass to provide a compassionate presence. We send cards and follow-up phone calls to bereaved families. The Ministry sponsors structured small group support sessions. On November 2nd, we assist the parish and pastor and priests with the Feast of All Souls candle-lit memorial Mass.

When and Where: We meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the Parish Hall at 7 p.m.

Time Commitment: It is a flexible commitment based on the need for the ministry and your availability. Support groups follow a structured format covering a 10-week period. The support group meetings within the 10 weeks are held weekly and last two hours.

Talents and Gifts: We need people who are compassionate and good listeners.

Contact: Tom Dean, 561-745-1385
